Originally from Germany, outside Dusseldorf, Liselotte (Lilo) Fore is the owner of “Sporthorse America” in Santa Rosa, California for which she has been honored for her major role in raising the quality of dressage training and horses to an international level. She served as an FEI 5 Star judge; in that capacity she has been a member of the Ground Jury for numerous international competitions such as the World Cup final in Las Vegas, Olympics, Pan American Games, and World Equestrian Games including the recent WEG in Normandy. She is among the founders and served as chair of the USDF Instructor-Trainer Certification Program. She is continuously involved in many educational programs for Dressage trainers, teachers and judges throughout the United States. Among countless other accolades and awards, in 2017, Lilo was inducted into the Roemer Foundation/USDF Hall of Fame for her contribution to the sport of dressage in the United States.
Clinic Format: 45 minute training sessions, each highlighting a level from USDF Training Level – Fourth Level, FEI Young Horse, Prix St. George, Intermediare, and Grand Prix. Lilo Fore will ask the riders to perform sections of a test where common mistakes are made. Lilo will offer tips on how to improve test riding for each of the levels. Lilo will also address movements from a judge’s perspective. What are the judges looking for when judging a test? The audience will gain a better understanding of the directives in a test and what is the essence of the movement. The audience will have opportunities to submit questions using index cards. Lilo will answer these questions during Q&A sessions throughout each day.
