Founded 1963

Founded in 1963 and embracing a focused commitment to dressage since 1975, the Arizona Dressage Association (ADA) has grown into a vibrant, member-driven community of more than 300 riders, trainers, and enthusiasts dedicated to the art, science, and discipline of classical dressage. As an official Group Member Organization (GMO) of the United States Dressage Federation (USDF), ADA plays a leading role in the region by promoting inclusive education, ethical horsemanship, and opportunities for lifelong learning and development.

The organization supports both amateur and professional riders through a full calendar of recognized and schooling shows, clinics, workshops, scholarships, and year-end awards. With a strong commitment to community, ADA fosters a welcoming environment where progress is celebrated, effort is honored, and every rider is encouraged to grow in partnership with their horse. From first tests to FEI aspirations, ADA continues to serve as a hub for connection, learning, and excellence in dressage across Arizona.

Vision Statement

The Arizona Dressage Association envisions a thriving dressage community where every rider is empowered to pursue their potential, every horse is honored with compassion and respect, and every step forward, no matter how small, is celebrated as part of a lifelong journey. We believe that dressage is more than a discipline; it is a relationship between horse and rider rooted in trust, learning, and shared effort. Through connection, encouragement, and opportunity, ADA creates space for growth at every stage of the equestrian experience.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Arizona Dressage Association is to advance the art and sport of dressage by supporting riders, trainers, and horses through inclusive education, ethical horsemanship, and a vibrant, connected community. As a proud USDF Region 5 Group Member Organization, ADA offers recognized and schooling shows, clinics, scholarships, and learning events that promote excellence through effort. We celebrate the progress of every member, honor the unique bond between horse and rider, and provide a welcoming environment where all can learn, grow, and thrive in the pursuit of dressage.
